no bus
whats the obo
$750
i would motorhome it
nice project

1,000 obo
I have a 1962 Ford chassis, Wayne body school bus for sale. In the Fall I rebuilt the carburetor, changed the oil, changed the spark plugs, adjusted the points and was able to get it to run and drive. The transmission worked in forward and reverse.
I have not touched the brakes yet and the carb and timing need to be tuned so it can not be driven. You will have to arrange to have it picked up.
The interior has been stripped out because we had planned on turning it in to an RV, but it does still have one passenger bench and I have a number of other interior parts that were unbolted to get the old flooring up.
The bus is 23' long and 8' wide.
Cash only. I do not want to trade for anything.

Only problem, other than distance, is that I, like some other person here, would soon have it full of slick parts! Hmmmm!

Re: who needs a slick bus
I can envision that bus on a late model Ford chassis with a 7.3 diesel and an big door on the back to put the Harley's inside.

Re: who needs a slick bus
A western parts run to fill it.... Least expensive storage I've seen for a while and it would also make a great camper. How pricey are things like brakes and tires for something of that size?

Be much cheaper on fuel to operate. Nice looking hood . I think there are several here that would love to have the hood. I missed out on a 64 that was converted to a camper and stored inside for many years . Only taken out on camping trips infrequently. Owned by a couple of brothers that owned a garage. After both died it was sold by their descendants for 650$ . But, like the fire truck I have I did not need it but would have bought it had I gotten to it first.
Slickitis is catching, nice score Iceman,

Re: who needs a slick bus
Has some body retrofitted that windshield into there? There is no way they put glass like that in stock is there? From the reflection it seems to wrap around.. Its not dead flat ,and it really looks tinted as well. Just curious..
It was upgraded by someone I think.

Re: who needs a slick bus
I suspect that was the bus manufacturer. Even that long ago, there may have been visibility standards for school buses.

Re: who needs a slick bus
Wow, that would be sweet to make an RV out of and drive to SS.
Missed a deal on a 62 bus a few yrs back. This one looks nicer.
Says he removed some of the floor. And the brakes need some work.
Prob needs tires too. $$$$ Depending on what rime size it takes,
I would bet the tire situation might be difficult unless it could be
changed over to a later style wheel combo depending on the bolt
pattern. Sweet bus for sure. Wish I had a place for it. TR

Re: who needs a slick bus
maybe he meant the flooring usually linoleum and rubber
be nice to take to big meets like Pate, save on hotel bills.
i think the 500s are 15K gvwrs
definitely with the right engine pull a truck.
in my 77 b600 i got 6mpg regardless of empty,full , uphill etc.
that had a 330 ft with 4 speed. gears in the 5.xx ratio.
