My truck has a big 'M' on the hood. That's about it. It was also the nickname of NHL great Frank Mahovlich, so having an interest in hockey history I thought that was cool too.

In hindsight it probably makes it sound like I'm large in stature and have a name that starts with the letter 'M', neither of which are true.

Truckrat evolved out of a name that got hung on me way back a long time
ago at my job. We had all this PPE gear we had to wear painting aircraft and every
time I would open my locker it would fall out on the floor. So it was Packrat and
when I needed a screen name for this forum I decided to go with "Truckrat" instead.
Seemed right since my trucks are kinda ratty anyway. TR

My Jeep phase lasted from age 13 to about 45. I am 59 now. I told my wife so many times " I know i already have a jeep, but I found a better deal!" that she thought it proper to call me Jeepbut. Thanks, Lyman.

My buddies strated calling me CRACKEL in 7th grade. Its something they some how came up with from my last name. Then they started calling me LCRACKEL. The L stands for my first. Then when i joined here back in the yahoo days. i added the FORDMAN to it.

Feel like mine is self-explanatory, but this is what we've called my truck for many years. Got the truck in 1991 and it wasn't much to look at so she didn't like to be seen in it, plus the passenger side floor was GONE! It is a Ranger tho, so I thought it was great. Spent way too many years & too much money fixing it up, so it has lived up to its name.

MINE Since we have a Junkyard with all different years, But the love of this site, love of the 61/66 trucks and also I was brought up/worked on these trucks when new at the age of 10 + started to drive them at 12 and as a family business went with them when ordering these trucks new from the shop trucks through the F-750 to T-1000 Series trucks in the Ford Line + going to pickup with them 10 Brand New Mack's to add to the fleet and then as times changed so did the trucks and then the long haul,,, Anyway that's my love for 61/66 trucks,, But I have several other years as well

one turned into four, it just seemed like madness collecting my college wheels, especially since I had spent years working with wood, plaster making models and molds of architectural pieces. now rust oil and grease.
