I saw cars in there I recognized from when I was a kid. Only made it about 1/4 way in so far. Amazing collection. TR

Went back thru the entire thing tonight and it is amazing to see
the evolution of the dragster. I have lived a lot of it and seen a lot too.
Seeing the car of Pete Robinson in several of these photos brought back
memories of my first Top Fuel racing I ever witnessed at Orange County
Raceway in Southern California in the summer of 1969. Saw Pete running
a Top Fuel car powered by a Blown Cammer 427 Ford. He was Top Eliminator
that night as well. Also Saw a 69 Cuda Funny car being run by Jim Dunn,
A Blown Gas Willys Coupe painted Candy Red run by Big John Mazmanian
of the old gasser wars. Had a great time that night and will never forget my first
experience seeing the Nitro Burners. TR

wow!
that brought back memories and I also did not make it to the end.

I would of been the teenager in most of those pics with his hair slicked back with my head stuck in the drivers seat looking for the radio?

wonder how long it took them to figure out this design was not going to work in a dragster!
the push truck must of been pretty new at that time!
