Just looking @ some coverage of a Big Swap Meet in San Diego on bangshift.com, and came across this slick uni swb:) "Heavily Modified" is a bit of an understatement.....

There are 11 more pics of the truck in their coverage, here is a link to swap pics

Yep I agree. That is a God awful ugly truck! I said it the first time I saw pictures of it a couple of years ago and my opinion has not changed.

Its not that I'd do but I can appreciate the amount of effort that went into it. Reminds you of something George Baris might have come up with. I do like the idea of a back seat.

Thank you for posting this. What used to be termed a lead sled and is a Barris kind of creation. A lot of work, effort and money went into this thing. I was looking at parts and thinking the headlights are 53 maybe 54 Buick and grill is 53 chevy? The front bumper I believe is mid 50's Cadiilac , possibly 57 but I think our 57 had rubber tips on the bullets. Maybe 56, not interested enough to look it up. Hub caps look like modified 57 Cadilac but can't see enough to tell. The builders dream , whatever it was, is to build something wild and outlandish and he did. I have sprayed flake paint on a Harley I built 30 years ago, and still have a jar of the stuff laying around. I won't do it again, it's not that easy to get it right. I respect the amount of work that went into this thing but a slick it isn't.

I've sprayed quite a bit of flake over the years and didn't have a lot of problems spraying it bbbuuuttt clean up after the fact is a bear. At the time I worked for my father in law and he hated it when I shot flake cause later on the last coat of a nice black paint job a purty piece of red metalflake could appear in the middle of the hood. Not good!

Small flake isn't to bad but the big stuff is a real bear to get the paint to lay down. Way to much orange peal with the big stuff.

Rich, that grill in it appears to be a shortened version of a 57 Vette
rather than a 53-54 Chevy. More teeth! I too like that back seat deal.
Could do without the fins though. But I understand the theme of the
truck. Those big Dagmars look real strange on a slick though.

It would take a really blind (or texting) pedestrian to not see that (or those) coming at him! Darwin supposedly had a realistic take on that sort of person!
