Old service trucks

Post by slick4x4 »

Going to be an auction next Wednesday
I won't be there, but probably will have a buddy bid on some trucks
F350 with service bed and gin poles in back... Very rough & homemade
F600 with service bed & very heavy duty winch & gin poles in back
Fair condition..... It's an old telephone or electric company unit

Both truck have sat a LONG time ... Probably 20 years ago last time ran

Lots of old junk cars & machinery..... Most will be sold as scrap iron

But the price of scrap has gone down considerably ... Only $30 a ton here in Kansas
So these probably won't go very high... I can't justify paying too much for them
But...I hate seeing them get crushed.....

If they have titles , they have some value... If not, kinda dead horse around here

if the price does not go too high parts trucks are worth having around since you have room to store them.or maybe some minor repairs gets you another work truck for a minimum investment

lots of trucks i see on c\l i would not pay half the asking price they look very rough, missing pieces, beat nearly to death etc.
