I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I have lost several myself. You just lost a family member they are no different than the human ones, it hurts just as much.

I know how much my animals mean to me....
And Dakota was with you guys 24/7
Probably not a dog that had any more love than that
.....
Sorry for your loss

Thanks guys/gals,, It's so hard to swallow,, on Monday she watched on deck of rollback loading a 66 in Phoenix,, Then on Tuesday sitting by the trailer loading a 64, Then Thursday nite sat at the T/A in Barstow watching the semi's go by, Friday watched us load a 65 on the rollback in Gardena, Calif., few hours she was gone,, I guess she wanted to see some complete slicks one more time, Really who knows what goes on in a Dog's mind ?? anyway back in Vegas to see if we can finish loading the trailer with parts that Have there and have to wait till next Monday the 6th to back to Calif. to get her from cremation since its a law we could not take here back with us in dry ice or something like that

Tom and Kathy, so sorry to hear about Dakota. I don't understand why you wouldn't be able to bring Dakota home on dry ice, hunters send their game home that way. I hope every thing works out.

Well we did not have to wait till next week,, picked here up today,, How touching was that the cremation place did a nice job with bones NOT Dust, took her paw print and some hair, and a flower we can plant when we get home, also the place was next to a salvage yard so she felt home I guess in doggy spirit... still have to get our trucks in Vegas now

I truly feel for you Tom. I know it hadn't been easy on either of you. You can take her on home now and let her rest. One of my poodles had cancer and I was away from home and I returned home on Friday. She would always meet me at the door when I got home but didn't this Friday. Alan said she was laying on the kitchen floor. I ran into the kitchen and that little tail started just a going, she was so weak that she couldn't stand but she could sure move that tail. I started loving on her and she started swimming like a cow does before they die. I grabbed her up in my arms and we headed to the animal emergency clinic, it was only a couple of blocks away but she died in my arms on the way. We bought her a little casket and buried her in our back yard under a tree. I loved that dog as much as my daughter.

Tom Kathy My condolences on Dakotas passing. See you guys at Auto Fair as always but somehow won't be quite the same without the third member of the family there to greet me as she always did. Can't begin to imagine how you guys are feeling but take care and see you soon.

Hey Tom and Kathy,

I am truly sorry to hear of Dakota's passing. She was a special dog and definitely a part of the Slick 60's history and lore. May she rest in peace.

Best regards…Sinc
