made it home about 2:30 AM after stopping in Louisville KY to drop Justin and Ricks parts off... and Rick still wasn't driving his... whats up with that? had a 2 hour layover in Peoria Illinois spitting and sputtering.. backfiring through the tail pipe... after a long time of scratching my head and trying this and that.. I had added a seafoam.. no help, changed plugs in case I had a fouled plug... no help.. I had got gas at the Pilot station across from the "worlds largest truck stop".. I fill when I reach a half a tank thank goodness.. a quarter tank into it is when this started.. my butterfly linkages in the carb were so gummy they were hard to move to not moving at all.. the vacuum wouldn't even work the back 2 barrels... a can of carb cleaner later, we were back on the road.. stopped and put that 1/4 tank back in with 93 octane and hit the road.. never had another problem and the truck ran GREAT!! So, long story short, it wasn't my fault or the trucks fault, just CRAPPY gas....

We had a great time and would like to thank Darrell and Robbin for their hospitality and we are looking forward to Kansas!!

Enjoy the Slickness people!!! it is AWESOME!!

We made it home by 1:00 yesterday afternoon. Truck ran great. 13 mpg running about 70-75 mph.

Too bad about Don's truck. We even joked about whether we should follow him home.

Thanks again to Darrell and Robbyn.

Anthony did you get to go into the world's largest truck stop?,, if not need to go next time down by where all the lights are and look at the pretty lights,,, and go over to the Museum as well,, any way glad you made it back,, we stopped and got fuel over there + had to look at the lights again to see if I missed anything

Got home late last night! Some of you are aware of my trailer problems; the later chapters are now posted here.
I can only emphasize and reiterate TR's statements of faith in God! The opportunity for grave damages presented itself several times this trip, and I can only thank God for not only keeping us safe, but especially for doing the same for a very nice couple who already are shouldering a heavy load!
All I have now is the hundred mile trip home from work; then the opportunity to see my long-suffering beautiful wife a little less groggy than when I came home and talked her into driving across town to pick up my work truck at 3 a.m.!

Finally made it home tonight, no problems except the bank account went dry with all the fuel stops. Found more project vehicles for someone.
