Cigar lighter receptacle fix

Post by unibody madness »

When my lighter quit working I went to my parts stash and found another original and a china made one from DC. The original did not work either, and the new one did not come with a light and was inferior.
Thanks to Paul (Toyz) who explained what was going on.
This is my fix for the blown fuse, that Paul identified on the end of the receptacle.
I neglected to take pictures of the one I installed so I rebuilt my spare in order to post it.

First I dismantled and wire brushed all parts.
all the parts involved

Thanks...now I know how to fix mine. The light was hanging down behind the dash and I didn't know where, (what, how) as far as it was concerned.
