this will be my first slick stock, as well as dads. So do we have to stay at that hotel to be signed up or? Looking forward to driving my 64 down there with the fresh y block and power steering hopefully, as well as seeing more slicks in one spot than I ever have 8)

There is no formal registration for Slick Stock. But as Slick 4x4 noted, you will want to get reservations with the hotel if you want a room.

However, as the time gets closer, there will likely be a post on here asking for confirmation on who all is coming - just for the club to get an idea of how many will be attending etc.

Newbie question. What exactly goes on at SlickStock? I'd like to go, but I don't know why. Mostly beer and old ford trucks? :D

Lots of talking ...mostly about Slicks
Sometimes we go to a restaurant to eat
Maybe go to someplace like a museum
Maybe to a factory
Sometimes have a hotdog cooked on a grill
Nothing set in concrete ....

I've never seen anybody not have a good time ...
Well, there was this one time a truck got moved by the truck fairy
But it was found close by

Drinking beer is not a requirement
But a laugh at a bad joke is appreciated ( not that my jokes are bad)

Thanks for the info. Sounds like a great time. Now starts the job of talking wife into it.

I've been visited by the truck fairy before. Never figured out how she gains entry. Tailpipe?

Well, as of last night, being that Gerry (Casey 65) reached out to me and made me aware that SS was in KC again, I have came out of hiding and we are planning to offer some KC Barbecue at my place, as has been the standard for KC events thus far. I am an amateur pit boss now, with my squirley white @ss Traeger grill, but the results have been promising!!!

Probably will be 8/23, Thursday, at my place here. No agenda, just food, drinks, trucks, hopefully no rain, but some cool air would be nice. Fireflies/Lighting Bugs might be getting thin by then (inside mention to former participants...)

Gerry and I reminisced that the transmission pulling and replacing event in my shed was quite memorable. I am hoping for the sake of parties affected, that that sort event does not occur again. But it was actually a blast for the lesser afflicted.......
1965 F-100 240 Autolite 1101, Disk brake dual master upgraded, swapped over to C4 and powersteering. Bought by my Dad new in March 65'

Planned/considered upgrades:
Perhaps power brakes, 300 I6 motor and JUST maybe, AC!
