Four spoke steering wheel turn signal clip (got one)

Post by unibody madness »

Got one Thanks guys

For all you fellow parts hoarders... sorry... parts facilitators... holding on to an old messed up four spoke steering wheels, I am in need of the turn signal cancelling clip.
I have two of the smaller wheel clips, but they make the horn honk when using turn signals. The four spoke clip is larger, and may be shaped different so the horn won't go to ground.
Thanks
John

Brian,
That helps, seems that it is attached to the steering wheel itself.Dang i sold my extra four spook a couple years ago to someone on this site.

Yep that's the one, the four spoke has an extra amount of thickness on the metal part of the wheel that makes contact with the spline on the steering shaft so the C clip with the nub looks to be a little larger.
I have no clue what happened to the one that came with the wheel I have but after paint its gone. Horn had no issues before paint but goes to ground whenever I use the turn signal after re-assembly. I used a clip from a smaller three spoke after paint.
,
. Hopefully someone who replaced his still has the old one with the clip that came with it.

Thanks Dan, I am hoping he kept his original and has it hanging on the wall. Whenever I drive the Turk, people think I am honking at them to hurry up!
