2000 Lb. Engine stand

Post by jakdad »

Any of you ever used this stand or one similar? Thinking about buying it for more stability.

Thanks, Thats what I'm working up to. I have a few stands but the thought of a fully assembled FE on the lighter stands is scarey. I'm going to pull my 427 before long and go through it.

Bought an identical one from a local parts store. I've had a complete flathead hanging from it for about a year now. I made a support for the front of the engine just because my luck sometimes takes a turn to the south. If you buy one check the welds. I had to reweld one of those mounting arms.

Thanks for the tip Dad. I do things like that too. I actually plan on welding a couple of straps across the legs to have a place to set a drain pan. Or I may just hitch pin them so they are removable. Dang Hot Rodders can't leave anything alone...............
