going to have to start on a new slick for my wife.
wont give up the one shes driving so i can work on it so going to have to come up with a plan.

has to be a 4x4.

have a frame and running gear, will need some work and an engine.
has a 292 now

bodys
i would kind of like to use this one and keep (cut)the dash out of the original truck as i need it for the uni
uni needs cab supports too.otherwise solid.
Image

this is the best cab i have, also a 62
very little rust.has a good core but needs front clip.
Image
going to put the back end on my big truck.

she really would like the flareside bed like her 66. needs a floor.

I voted for regular/flareside w/223. And yes, you already have too much to do only because I'd like to see you make the big drive to greener pastures.

Reg cab, flareside, and the Y. Real simple reason, the Y is ready to go, flareside is an easy bolt on.

I voted regular cab/stepside bed. I think a separate bed/cab can handle the twisting of a 4x4 off of the road better than a one piece body. I'm not so familiar with the Uni's but that's what I expect. I don't think power plant is such a concern because of gearing in a 4x4.

Not knowing which one you could get done fastest/easiest/cheapest, I agree with Mellvis. Unless it it is going to never see anything rough and if all else is equal, I think the seperate cab & bed would hold up better over time.

I voted for the flareside/regular cab as well. If that's what the wife wants, then YOU'LL be happier in the long run.

I too would go regular cab with the flare side bed.

A little late to be starting a new project Brian. I think the heat is broken in your day light shop.
