Diecast Disaster
grrsign.gif

I just bought a cool looking 1/18 scale 56 F-100 off of e-bay. (I am a sucker for gray or gold center torque thrust wheels with white letter tires.) I took it out of the box to look it over. To my unbelievable disgust it has a small block chevy engine in it !?&%^$%&*(%^. excuseme.gif What is up with that !!!

Guys.
Bonnet.
He's not talking about a head cover your grandma used to wear.
Alan means the hood.
Bonnet means the body part that covers up the motor.
The "boot"is the trunk lid.
Kind of a universal thing that, because the boot is where everybody keeps the beer, no matter where you're from.
Even Abbo's from Meekatharra.

Except the Abbo's don't call it beer or piss.
I think they call it "grog".
Alan, help me out here.

Think I have a 1/18 Y block if it bothers you that much. If you like the model "Y" worry about it - it's pot metal and plastic for goodness sakes.
I have a Mustang die cast that is a $150.00 model car, working seat belts etc. - if I tried I could probably find complaints about it. I prefer to be happy I have it since it was a limited run of 3000 pieces and had been out of production for quite awhile when I got it.
1964 F 100 - I am going to do "something" with it.......

A slick model built with this much attention to detail would be awesome.
