Yeeee-Haaaaawwww! (or f___ winter)

Post by ezernut9mm »

so now it's down to about 11*f here. supposed to go below zero tonight and only up to about 5*f tomorrow with 25 to 40 mph winds out of the north with more snow.
for friday the local weather liar actually used the words "life threatening" in his forecast referring to wind chills.
why do i live here? i don't know.
the 70 has only been parked for about three hours and look at it. work is gonna suck major donkey b@lls tomorrow-if i get to work without killing myself.

got about 8in of snow last nite and now we have 20 to 30 mph winds and near blizzard conditions. I need to go about 20 mlies away on country roads to list a house this afternoon, should be exciting. Not as fond of winter as I used to be in my younger days but I can deal with the cold better than I can deal with the heat down south in the summer.
There are some Days I should not be let to go into the public without adult supervision

You had to send it all EAST didn't you? We started getting it here in Indiana early this morning, and it hasn't stopped. Then we will get the wind and cold right behind it as well.

All I wanna do is get to Buffalo Wild Wings tonight!! It's Thirsty Thursday!

Feel bad for the folks in Florida. They are corralling gators and turtles to try and keep 'em warm! (that's what I heard anyways...)

I don't like snow. I avoid it if at all possible.
I'm almost afraid to say this, but Beth & I, with a group of people are taking our Harley's and going for a weekend ride. It's supposed to be 70 degrees on Sat & Sun. :D
It sure beats shoveling snow. ss_pokes2.gif Sorry but I couldn't resist saying that.

Alan Snow means different things to different people. For people like Ice & myself snow is no big deal. They farther south you go they more it scares people.

Oh Alan you need to see snow at least once in your life time.

lol jake. rub it in.

it's not like i really mind the snow. it's the 30mph winds and 0* temps. also kansas city's lack of snow removal isn't helping much. i think i am going to take the camera to work tomorrow and take a pic of the street that leads to the terminal i work out of.
it is unbelievable. there is no way i could drive the mustang down that street. semis are getting stuck there regularly.
my street at home isn't any better. we're just not equipped to deal with this stuff here.

alan, want to come drive the "mussy" now? lol

Tom...not so sure scared is the appropriate word for alot of us. I drive in snow probably as much(or more) as many people do up north. Its a pain sometimes but you just have to slow down and drive more ahead of yourself than normal. Never know what those crazy 4 wheelers are gonna think of doing next...seems to always be right in front of me. LOL

Well, having grown up in the Buffalo, New York area, I'm definately used to snow and driving in it. The problem is having lived down South for the past 25 years...I'm spoiled. But it IS funny to see an entire city shut down over less than 2 inches of the white stuff...
