As soon as I saw that black Fairlane with the 427 I said outl oud (here at work, everyone kind of looked at me strange LOL)
'I've see that car before!" Then i scrolled down and saw he was from Dead Rear, Alberdie. So I reall HAVE seen that car before.
Cool pix, ...and flames and BBC's ooo my favourite

That '58 F350 is a monster! Usually dont see that level of detail work done to an old one-ton truck. That thing's sides are mirrors!
I'd take that li'l blue flare side anytime. Love the Fairlanes. The R-code '63 is a little overdone for me.
I'd like to take the 429CJ 'Stang out and MASH the throttle!!

The car that got the award for best hack of an original R Code Galaxie.
The workmanship was ok but this thing was taller than most lifted 4x4's.
Center Oiler 427 block with a steel 391 truck crank, Hi Riser heads and a huge blower.
Top speed is probably 28.6 mph as not sure if it could be kept on road above that. LOL
The owner is at rear of car
Now tell us what you REALLY think of that 'award-winning' car???!!! LOL!

I seen that 66 Fairlane at a carshow by Red Deer Alberta last summer. Talked to the owner. The car is seriously bad a$$ however it only sees shows and does its cruzin in an enclosed baby buggy. Not much of a practical driver with over 13:1. Seems to me he was talking about traction problems. Can't imagine why . Thx for the pics Randy
