T18 or T19 transmission

Post by good2bea9 »

Do any of you AZ guys have a T18/9 transmission that you are willing to part with? I am still overseas but I am trying to plan ahead for a transmission swap in my 66 F250 4x4. Thanks.

Garbz,
Thanks, How are things with you. I noticed that you are back on here again. I am planning to ship the truck out to Chicago when I get back to the states. Hope that all is well with you.

David,

I have a 300 six out of a 1966 F100 (1978 block) complete with bell housing, clutch, T-18 and shifter. Just let me know when you get back in town and you can check it out.

Jake, would love to have the whole set up! I would love to change to a 300, with a 4spd. Are the mounts the same for the 240 4x4? I have been told that it is pretty specific. If anyone looking at this has input, I am all ears. Thanks Jake and all.

David,

I just noticed that your Slick is a 4x4. The engine/tranny that I have came out of a 2 wheel drive truck. If you can still use it, just let me know.

The 300 will drop right and bolt to your bell. The T18 will bolt up to the bell housing you currently have.

You may or may not need to cut the propeller shaft.

Dave,
Sounds good to me! I can't wait to work on it again! Of course I can't wait to drive her again too. Especially with a 4spd! I will let you know when I will be out. Thanks again.
