Steering box adjustment

Post by Mike P »

I put a newer steering box from a 66 p/n c6ar 3580-a
is there a stop adjustment for l & r lock?
I can turn it until the tie rod ends bend (not good)

There are no stops on the steering box. Check on the back side of the 'I' beam, some have a bolt that hits the spindle where the tie rod connects, that would be your stop.
