New Guy from GA

Post by BigMike »

I'll be the owner of a beautiful '65 F250 on Friday.

I've been a Cheby guy most of my life but believe or not, I've owned more Fords. Looks like I"ve made the complete crossover to Ford.

I'm also a Harley guy which is how I know Jonas. I've got an '02 Road King with just a few upgrades on it. I also have an '09 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon that I like to hit the trails with.

Looking forward to learning eveything about Slicks. I'm already thinking power steering and maybe a C6, but I've always been a "keep it stock" guy. We'll see how that goes.

Great to be here everyone!

More welcome from Nebraska. Ooh-yah, Slicks and Harleys. Make the inside of a garage look and smell real fine. The Fords are my habit, the Harley is my love. Hope to see you here often.

Mike welcome aboard. I'm glad to see the truck going to someone excited about it. They are addicting.

I have everthing to convert the truck to power steering. Steering Box, Pump, Brackets, Column. I have a helped a few friends do these upgrades, so if you decide to do it, I'm in. That truck with power steering and a C6 would be like driving a 2011. Lokar makes a shifter for a C6 that looks like the granny 4spd shifter. I am going to put one of those shifters in my 66 F250.

Well I'm sure I am going to regret selling the truck, but I am really glad to see you are getting it. It has been a great truck, felt like I won the lottery when I got it. It is in such solid condition.

Also you have great resource for slicks near by. Pete in Monroe, GA. Good Harley resource too.

One other note: Your bike is faster then mine, but I know for sure my F250 is faster then yours.

Big Mike
Welcome from North Idaho. I have a stock 62 short bed UNI (UNI'S RULE) 292 V8 granny 4 speed. Lots of fun to drive, takes me back to my younger days. Life was a lot simpler then but I enjoy life today as well. We ride a 1984 Gold Wing really enjoy that too.
