yeah, it's hard to tell when it's down on the ground. It's really good up on a lift or the jack stands.

The pic from underneath has the frame on the top left corner of the pic, (leaf spring in the way), and bolted to the narrow part of the mount is the x member that I fabbed from 3/16 channel.

It uses the 2 bolt mount pads, as the 3 bolt version wouldn't clear the headers.

One of these days, I'll have to pull them back out, sandblast them or otherwise get all the slag and welding crud out of the insides, and paint everything in Rustoleum or something. Not too worried about it for the time being, though.

mcarlson11, what you don't like it? haha

I did it because I REALLY wanted to install headers. The eng/ truck combo is a bad situation to get headers for, as far as I can come up with... The steering box is bad on the left, and the transdapt xmember had bad issues with the right side. I could have gotten a rear-exit shorty for the right side, but I like things to look semi-symmetrical. I'm crazy, and I like to fab stuff and make it uniquely mine...

And yes, some fenderwell headers would have been sweet too, but I wasn't in the mood to hack out my inner fenders.

The main mount looks pretty stout from what I can see. :thumright:
However, what looks like a cross brace in the 2nd pic, the two bolts seem to be right at the bottom edge of the engine mount...not much meat there. Keep an eye on those, in case they try to tear through...unless there isn't much of a load right there? Can't tell.

Anyhoo, it looks nice from here. :D

yeah... those bolts didn't go through exactly where I had hoped. I really don't think it should be an issue though. The mounts are quite able to support the engine all on their own. The only time that crossmember should ever really come into play is if something really extreme happens. I think she's safe...

I still need to re-model my oil pan though... the dang thing comes down to where the rearmost edge of the sump gets hit by the axle on rare occasions. It's a wonder it hasn't split open. I need to get some sheet stock and cut off the back edge of the sump, and fabricate some box-wings on the sides to make up for lost capacity on the rear.
