Believe it or not, I've not made a decision on gages yet. I figure after I fab up the face of the dash, I'll print out my top selection of gages and tape them to the dash to see what suits my fancy. I'm leaning towards digital but we'll see. THe other thought is to put them in the console and hide them. There will be no switches in the dash, all of them will be in a compartment in the console. I'll just have to wait until I get to that point. Twisted, I've got several of the custom cab pieces. PM me if you are interested.

You have managed to make a straight axle farm truck chassis look like it belongs under a racing car!

Got her put back together again for the 10 billionth time. Had a photo shoot yesterday for an under construction article for Truck'n magazine. I did get the radiator test fit and the brake pedal assy cut down for the dash modifications. Here are a couple of pics of her put together.

Unless things change, We are bringing it to the F100 Show in May in Pigeon Forge. Of course, that's if life doesn't derail and you kjnow how that can go.UNIFAN wrote:Been a while since I stopped in to check on the progress here. MAN you weren't kidding when you said you were going to back up and punt!!!Its looking great! Keep up the good work and as always I CAN'T WAIT to see this thing in person!
Its been a while since I posted but I have been making some progress. I built a steering column drop. Air tank is mounted. (sorry, forgot to get a pic of these two things) Skinned the tail gate on both sides, got the gas filler mounted in the bed rail and filled in the old filler hole in the cab. Here are a few pics of the progress.

Got a little done on my truck yesterday. I installed some seats out of a 1999 Tahoe. Very comfortable. Formed up a center console from posterboard. This is my 3rd set of seats and 4th console attempt but this one is growing on me. A few more tweaks on the console and i'll make one out of metal.

Got a little done this weekend. Spend a lot of intimate time with some 18 gage angle and the shrinker / stretcher. The frame for the center console is done and the skin for the upper portion is welded in place. Still have to cut out the slot for the shifter, and the storage compartment, and build the sides. Overall I was right pleased with the progress. Here are some pics of the progress.
