I had a 64 D100, 3 speed push button on the dash with a 318
was taking auto ed at the time and I got to bring it in and do some resto on it in the shop, now this was the late 60 so it was only about 5 years old, damn ?? truck seems allot holder at the time?
but the motor sure looked good painted red, white and blue after I got thru with it,
know I've got pictures of it somewhere
to bad, mine was a long bed and of course I had to find a set of buckets and console out of a 64 Malibu and put them in it with a little help from a local welding shop
Damn truck was cool
Damn can you image buying your 16 year old kid a 5 or 6 year old truck these day!
Bet my dad spent all of $500 bucks for that truck!

I don't have a problem with the Chevy trucks of our years. I know a couple of people who have restored them and they've done a real nice job. I personally wouldn't buy one or restore one but I like the way they look just these Dodges.

Buddy of mine had a red one like this one. He done a bunch of custom work to it like a RV shifter on the dash and welded up and smoothed the tailgate. We rode 200miles in it to pick up my 429 with trans for my '55. Used his shop for my motor swap.66ford wrote:LOVE IT!
I know where 1 of these old Dodges are right now just rotting away. It's less than a block from me and been there as long as I can remember.

I like them with the stepside box or is it flareside? They do have alot of character. I'm with Max on the 60-66 Chevys - I REALLY like them in a step side - love the front bumper on them.

I like the bonnets!, did the dodge come with 14" headlights as an option?
Honey, If I say I`ll fix something I will, there`s no need to remind me every 6 months!!

i'm with dan, not a big fan of the styling. seems like nothing really "fits".
my buddy's neighbor has one that is pretty straight with the wide 318 and wouldn't sell on a 3k offer. it just sits in the side yard and will be scrap in a few years if she doesn't do something with it. two fools met right there.

I see one just about identical to this one about once a week. Learned to drive on my dad's 66 with a slant six. These are the trucks that started my hate for straight axle trucks.... scary over a washboard road or train tracks, even with that 5 foot diameter white steering wheel
It's a race.. Will hell freeze over or will JC finish his truck first. Stay tuned..
