Neighborly Slicks

Here are a few slicks within about 15 minutes of my place, I went for a little drive North of the house as the sun was out. There is a bonus 53 truck by a barn that I thought made a nice picture as well, I'll add to the topic as I hit the South, East and Western neighborhoods as I have time.

Didn't see a single uni to try and buy for a door donor. Not giving up yet though.

One additional thing I saw which amazed me was a mid 60's Falcon Convertible sitting in a pasture, I'd have taken a picture but the farmer was out and about and I didn't want a confrontation. Looked like he had tried to tarp it but it wasn't doing much good.

Also saw a lot of other old iron.

When I drove through Montana and Idaho this past year I saw Slicks everywhere just like in your pics. Like time stood still as I passed through. Thanks for sharing!

They are everywhere and the biggest majority are just sitting in fields ripe for the picking. I'm sure if I were to stop and make some offers I could have my entire back pasture full. I don't like to stop unless I'm serious because you have to be ready to pay if they accept.

This poor old girl looks like a couple of rat rods down my way! A frame with 4 wheels and somewhere to throw the tools.

Looked like a very decent hood leaning against the box in the foreground, had a frame under it as well.

The only one in the entire lot that looked to be used was the black F-250 in the driveway. Possibly the manure spreader as well?

The two out in the field sitting together both looked to be in good shape and they have been there for years and years, I go by them all the time heading out to put the boat in for a little fly fishing.

Funny how you find them and you can just feel if they are available or not by the look of the property and surroundings.

Just wanted to add that anyone that wants to pull my photos off the net feel free or if you want larger files let me know I'll email them, I love photography but I would much rather just share them than try to sell them so take away and let me know if you ever see one you'd like a large file of to print or whatever.

I take a few here and there too once in awhile.
You could see about wrangling me one of those tailgates, lol.

This is western upstate New York in the winter - Thanksgiving weekend 2009.

Looking west off Cabbage Hill.

I believe I took this one in Utah.

Montana off I 90.

Upstate NY is actually quite pretty - I was surprised my first run through there.
I actually took quite a few that weekend. I headed out for Binghamton early because I expected alot of Holiday traffic. I ended up with a 10 hrs to drive through 350 or so miles of NY, lol.
The rest are here if you like.
Some of them are just "memory shots" for me - not looking for a "Picture" - you'll see the difference. The first 5 were taken on a previous run on the western edge of NY - obviously the weather was different then, lol.

Some nice pics there Cory. Looks like a couple of my favorite slicks too. 4x4s!!!!!! The green and white 64 with the brush guard and no bed next to the blue one looks like front axel under it. The blue and white sitting by itself or what is left of it looks like a front hub sticking out of the front wheel. Those are some keepers in my book.

Hey Cory are you east and north of Boise? Or more towards Twin Falls. Either place theres alot of open space out there. Used to travel through that area every othere year on the way to Las Vegas.

I noticed the two 4x4's as well, didn't realize it until I downloaded the pictures, that hub does stick out where you can see it. If anyone's serious I can give you directions or stop and talk I suppose. If anyone in the west finds me a good Uni drivers door I may even meet you half way with what ever I can get for you. White door prefered.
