I found a very wrecked looks like 64 short bed. Someone posted a picture of a black and white one that had been wrecked a while back. This one makes that one look pretty strait by comparison. Anyhow, The guy says he is going to pull the drive line out of it and put it into his fat fender. Says he hadnt thought about what to do with the hulk afterwards. My proposal here is If i can get this truck it looks to have a strait frame decent cab corners and cab mounts. If yall had any use of those parts it might be worth dragging off from his place. I think (as long as the frame is strait and I can have it checked) that someone would have use for it. Someone was trying to find out if restoring his dads truck was worth while and everyone said if the frame is okay it would be. I know someone just posted that while trying to put in patch panels he needed more of the corner then the patch panel would cover (looks like swiss cheese). He could use the back quarter of the cab(window down door post to door psot). If someone wants the cab mounts that would take care of the front floor area. My scrap metal guy would take the rest with no problem. That would leave me with a clear title and matching vin plate Im sure one of yall could use. The top this cab is history (bent twisted rusted). The steps are in fair shape (for a quick look) along with the front end of the bed. It has a spare tire rack that looks to be in good shape it could be pulled (I remember someone saying they bought a whole truck for one) and if need be, ( did all step sides have spare tire racks) that fender quartered.
My question is would this be worth doing or would it be worth my time and or few bucks to do it? I wanted to ask this here before I went back to talk to him some more.

Hey Mike, Shane Amigoni was working on the swiss cheese cab corners, but I thought he bought replacements already. If so, I'd be interested in pieces from both sides too if you decide to grab it. I need patches for both sides myself.
Shane A - if you do need 'em, I'll just step aside.

I could use the floor pans and part of the firewall/toe kick area.
I could also use the fender/tire mount.

Check out the frame to see if it's bent or not. I could use a short bed frame 61-64.... Let me know I will go dark next week while traveling but IM me and I will respond when I can. One bad thing is how far away it is…

okay it sounds like I need to go talk to this guy some more. Yall seem to want enough parts to make it worth while. No there is no trim to be had. no the bumpers are trash though the brackets may be worth salvaging. I dont know about the frame like i said I can have it checked to find out. That wont happen untill I get the truck and strip it to the frame. YOu would not beleive how bad this truck looks. but give me a couple of days to get over there and I will let yall know. Mike By the way Im in richmond southwest of houston by about 20 minutes.
