I have admit this saddens me. I wish I could have bought her from you JC, don't think for a minute I didn't try to come up with a way to make it happen. I would have not even thought twice about it if I hadn't been stuck paying off a @#$%^&! PINK Ford Probe my kid bailed on!

JC, you must have mixed emotions. Sorry to see Jinx go. Why was the reserve so low? I have a stock 63 Uni with no engine for that price.
Now, get busy on the Merc!
If you drove a Ford, you wouldn't need a good wrench!

Because I need to move it out, Greg. Wish I had a truck farm, but all I got is a 48 x 100 city lot and there's a house and 5 other vehicles on there too ;)

Quick update. the guy on ebay was shuffling his feet waiting too long to pay me.
So I told him pay my ebay fees and I will let you out of the deal, Because Dean (61Merc in here) wanted to buy it. Long story Short, Dean picked it up last weekend in the rain. He found out it needs a new windshield rubber!:steering:
I hardly drove it in the rain, never mind 2 hours on the highway

Happy Jinxing, Dean :hello:

Hey Johnny Canuck, I know you are a die hard Ford guy. I've seen you get pretty fired up over bow tie parts on a Ford. Why all the Chrysler product on your slick?

I bought that Uni with the Volare clip and the chrysler paint already on it if That's what you mean, although Chrysler just seems to have the best colors, because my Merc is also 2 colors of Chrysler paint (made by Sikkens, not DC).

Other than that, there is not a single Chrysler part in the '64 Merc I built (and still have), to my knowlege. All Ford, All the time.
including
'84 Aerostar front steering clip
'65' Ford radiator
'78 302
'90 E40d trans
80's Lincoln driveshaft
'79 4x4 Ford 9" rear end
'79 Ford steering column
'84 Aerostar shifter
'03 Ford seats
'64 Mercury body
'63 Ford big back window roof
'68 Mercury Tailgate
'03 Mercury wheels
... no Chrysler nothing at all. that I can think of, besides paint colour.
certainly would not own no Ford with no Chrysler drivetrain.

Ever. :D
