Industrial Chassis Dakota Kit coming back??

Post by HillBillyF100 »

Hey guys..I don't wanna spread rumors or anything, but I am a "fan" of IC on facebook, and I frequent their site, among many others...Here is what they are saying...Sounds like he is asking for our feedback, so might be good to let 'em know our wants/needs! :)

I am going to be running a jag, but I know that many others here are wanting the dakota front end...

If Steve does it it will be top notch. He produces some of the best designed parts I have ever seen. He's a wizard!!

I agree. He'll never, ever compromise safety or quality to sell a product of his. Will be interesting to see how this progresses.

Oh, I know..I have seen the kits..they look top notch..in fact, the only complaints I ever heard about them, was that they stopped making them..

That's good news. While I will probably proceed with the CV in my crew cab (since I already have everything and plan to use a Modular engine that will bolt right in) I have plenty of other projects that could use the IC "Dakota-style" kit.

I hope he does. The first kit was/is great. I just need to get it on the road!

Bolt in will be awesome. I don't mind welding but I do like it when things can be returned to original fairly easily.

Well Steve is the man. I was originally all gunned up for his Dakota IFS, but then found out it was not available, and so I went with the Jag IFS per his suggestion.

lol that is funny...seeing your posts about installing your Jag prompted me to install one! I do agree though, the Dakota is a nice install, and with the changes that might happen, it might be even better

Steve's Blog was last Updated: 06/27/20121 and he mentioned he was kind of disappointed in lack of response/hits regarding this, but sounds like he will still move forward. I'm not sure I like the CAST aluminum lower control arm idea though....forgings would be much better, but likely cost prohibitive for runs as small as this?
