You can buy the brackets that mount the calipers to the straight axle trucks from Classic Performance Parts, ECI and probably Speedway and then source the other parts yourself. There's "how to's" in the Hints and Tricks section along with parts lists. IMHO you'll spend about the same as a kit by sourcing the parts yourself, especially when you count in your gas. Of course you can buy a piece at a time as budget allows.
If you understand what you’re doing, you’re not learning anything.

Speedway Bracket kit is cheap enough, and if you look @ instruction sheet(s), all the other parts needed are listed so you could price them and see if you can source all the bits for less than the cost of the deluxe kit..........

Speedway Basic Bracket kit $99.99

==============================================
Speedway Deluxe kit $279.99

279 is not a bad price considering the 8 lug disc conversion on my 63 cost more than twice that!

:roll: i should have just turned the dang thing into a f100

Bill: From emails back & forth with Sid from droppedaxles.com, the 1/2T & 3/4T are the same axle, so you could have just as easily put all the 5 bolt parts on there.....and had a much wider selection of wheels to choose from:):)....but by the time you swap out the diff for a 9", etc, you would be back to the same $$ anyway.....
