1949 F-4
http://detroit.craigslist.org/mcb/cto/2782098789.html
Check this out! I was thinking about picking this truck up. I can get it for $1500. The motor runs good, and the only rust is the front fenders and cab corners. the doors and cab floor are solid. No brakes and the windshield and drivers side window is cracked. What does everyone think? I think its really cool. I'd like to get it and fix the brakes and make it drivable. I run a fab shop and need to make runs to the other plant a few buildings down the street. I can use it and slowly fix it up here and there. Any opinions. Is $1500 too much??

Re: 1949 F-4
for 1500$ if it runs good , is a decent price
brakes are not too exspensive if you do the work yourself
TIRES can be $$$... and if those are widow maker rims.... its hard to find a shop that will work on them

Re: 1949 F-4
pretty sure the brakes on the trucks are 48-64 so should not be that difficult to find.
also the 5 hole wheels can be found in one piece versions, i have them on my 61 f500.

Well, I got the truck yesterday! So enlighten me, how do I tell weather the truck has split find or not. This is my first truck of this size.
