Well I found a parts truck and bought it today. Got some really good parts on it. Anyone need some chromed parts? Take a look http://www.purpleflyingmonkey.com/truck ... efile.html

Post by Truckrat »

Hey Chris,
What are you planning to keep off of her? Are the doors in good shape with good glass? I am still looking for some.

I know for sure I am keeping the frame and bed. I have to evaluate the other parts but I think I can help you out on a pair of doors. I have a couple of extra ones not including the ones on this truck (by the way the ones on the tuck look very good. I plan on getting inventory and make decisions on what I will and will not use in the next 2 weeks.

The good thing this parts truck did have lots of extra new parts and good used parts. One thing was it had new (not installed) fuzzies for the windows one thing I thougth I would never get (I know I just got to buy them but they are low on the list.)

That trucks in pretty decent shape, expecially the floor pans! Looks like someone was going the mild custom route there for a while, I bet it was pretty nice a couple decades ago.

doors

Post by Truckrat »

jenkins.gif Chris, that 65 of mine has some doors that need a lot of work, and I want some I can bolt on and use as is, with glass and all. Color soesn't matter, I am a painter by trade, course you already knew that. Let me know and I can make a trip down one of these weekends. Keep that monkey flying. TR

does that sway bar have the correct brackets that go with it? Is it a front mount sway bar?

That sway bar does have the correct mounts but that is for my dakota setup. I will be using that for sure.

I assume the blue truck is the parts truck. I'm installing a power steering unit on my grandsons truck and could use the steering wheel if it's in good condition. Let me know how much, and if you want to sell it.

Thanks,

I will start making a list this weekend on parts that will be left over. Those who have asked about parts I will get back with you before I post the list.

64 f100 I sent you a PM...

TruckRat -- I don't have a set of complete doors. I do have doors and door parts that 2 can be put together from but nothing 100% right now. Sorry if you want parts and doors let me know, I might be able to do a complete set for you but it will take several months.

Other parts available or soon will be are listed below.

Chromed steering column, heater cover, ash tray and pedals...

Front I beam setup with springs (whole thing - frame of course)

Overload spring setup for the rear

Complete Front clip all looks good no real rust to talk about.

Good looking hood straight.. no real rust here either.

PM if you want pictures of anything. I will be posting in parts for sale section later because this is really where this stuff should be at.

Your "parts truck" is more than I have ever started with as to any car I have ever built.
