I like the hood tie downs :) Six lugs on the front wheel? Do you know where the tank is it looks like a filler neck in the bed side.

Looks like a decent crewcab. :) When do you get it?

Welcome from Nebraska. Looks to be a F350 with the 6 bolt axles. A 57-60 Ford short box was possibly what it came from the factory with.

I bought it last week. I'm still trying to figure out my schedule to go pick it up, in Idaho. I was told that it was a 250, it has 6-lugs front and back.
The tie-downs are definitely "custom" like alot of things on the truck. One of the neat things I liked was the tanks you are asking about. They fit against the side of the bend in front of the fender well.

I have more pictures in the gallery, but you can see the hubs better in this one, look like a 6-lug full floater in the rear:

Check out that CB antenna location on the front passenger fender... classic!

Does the n.c.in your avatar stand for Northern California or North Carolina?
If its not an apache or cherokee would it be an arapahoe?

Nope Johnny, when I find the right donor, I'm going to switch it out! the Slick bed styling is one of my favorite parts of these trucks.

Unibody Madness, it stands for North Carolina.... Somehow living on both coasts at the same time made sense for a little while.
I don't know, maybe!

:welcome: from Indiana.

That's a real nice crew you have. It would be interesting to know what bed the truck came with originally. Could have been any of the three, I guess.

Thanks Mosquito, I got some added to the gallery... and yes we all love the pictures. Nice C4 Galaxie! I'm not on Ford Muscle, but maybe I should be. I'll have to get some pictures of my Galaxie. It's definitely project, but it runs now. I'll get some pictures of the motor that will go in it... it's way more valuable than the car. I might be interested in those upgrades... but I'm not familiar with the hamb, what is that?

Thank you! Why yes... I-40 sometimes, and I-10/20/30/40 other times :-) I even cut through Johnsonville to Austin and up one time...

I just figured out that I need to talk to you! I love your '65 Mercules :-) How long is the bed you have on it? I think my truck was originally a wrong bed, but I'd like to put the Styleside bed on it...
Yes, I need to get to know your truck better :D

Nice!

That's a F350 for sure, that's why it has the big six wheels. All the 66 F350 Crews had a 132" WB so if it was a factory pick up (I bet it was) it had a 8' "wrong" bed, now it has the wrong bed for sure...lol It will have steps front and back and the batt in the floor. Mine had a 352 and a 4 speed.

I haven't been in here in a while. Where does that "welcome" flag come from? Anyway, welcome from Tennessee! I would consider a custom utility bed of some sort. It would go along with the heavy 6-lug wheels. You could hide a cooler and grill in it if you think about it. Party wagon!! (Everybody has a pickup bed.)

I finally got home tonight... I have some pictures I'll put up in a few days other than the VIN plate. I have a few new ones in my gallery now. Truck runs like a top! It has new brakes with brand new "pizza cutter" tires on it. Looks to be 7x17's.

Had all of the stuff Fire Truck and the other fellows were saying. Battery in the floor, leaf springs up front, Pinion brake on the Trans/driveshaft. The truck really is better than I could have ever imagined. Truck was well kept by it's original owner for sure...

The only areas to fix to make it a daily driver are the taillights (probably part of the bed situation), Rust in passenger rain gutter about 6" long, fill in bolt holes in roof, recover seat, replace headliner, driver side hood hinge broken, hood latch frozen/broken, new battery, new paint job... That and a few hundred hours of TLC, should have her running like a top and fun to drive, too.
