painted the motor and trans this weekend... spent 2 days sanding and cleaning, fun fun
got em mounted up as well, for the last time i hope!!!!
also picked up some old holley valve covers, dunno what they were coated with from the factory but man its tough! industrial sand blaster had all kinds of trouble. ended up stripping them with some serious paint stripper and now they're goin back for a final blast

Just checked in again.
I like the dash insert, especially the spot that looks like a cut out for pastry :D You are doin screamin work. Not sure about the floor mounted speakers, although I like the idea it seems it would cramp your left foot while driving. Its one of my pet peaves about some of the new cars. Long drives wear you out if you have to sit lopsided. Put a seat of some sort in it while you sand the dash and see if it affects you.

heres a few pics. havent felt like takin many
exhaust is done and we put the body back on couple weeks ago. ive pushed it over in the corner for a lil while. ran out of playin many and i have a couple side jobs i can knock out to get the funds to finish it up. i dont like the way the body is sittin with the stock spindle up front. i think im goin to step the lower arm .5 in to level it up. my goal is to have the body .5 off the ground all the way around

heres a few pics, we've been busting ass after work each night ( buddy of mine and me) tryin to get the insides ready for paint/ bedliner.
the plan is to get the guts primed and blocked this weekend and hopefully shot next weekend. once thats done i can have the glass installed, start wiring the truck, and then fire the motor :)

someone figured out a way to put several dents in the dash, lucky me

Not even mad about it. Looks real good. I would like to see you throw some paint on this one eventually though. Are you doing any sheetmetal work in the bed?

im goin to build a raised floor and put old wood in it (again, lol)
itll have tubs and a cover over the axle....i hate open floors!

couple of my close friends are painters and screaming for me to paint it black....problem is this truck isnt nearly as "straight" as the pics let on. in person it needs love for sure! driver door has a spot caved in that you cant see till you look inside the door! bedsides have mud all in em and the fenders arent all that nice either. its diffiently doable and i may blow it back apart in a year or so but at this point im close to burnt out and just dont have the drive to put it in slick paint right now. i've bought a 65 bug ( my daughter has got vw fever) and id like to start messing with it some, plus i have at least 3 more frame jobs coming in.
