Hey Slicksters, remember me?

Post by Comet »

Hey Guys,
I think it's been about 4 years since I logged in and posted here. Moved to Japan, parked the '61 and when I moved back she fired up like she was never gone. I've moved from Seattle to South Carolina and built a nice shop with a lift and a loft for my toys and the locals here love my Slick (more than my other junk-truck country I guess!). So I decided to spend a little time on making her a little more perty. Still just a ratty truck, but she runs good and this winter I plan to cut her up and replace floors and mounts. And bed/bulkhead if I have time and ambition. Anyway, I've had a blast driving her around my country roads and into town.
Any South Carolinians with Slicks on here?

Thanks guys! It is still a work in progress and yes it's still pretty rusty in spots. And yes, it's been about 4 yrs, I can't believe it myself. Good to be back and good to be playing with the toys again.

LOL, hey that drivers door in the pic just got hung. It's the one you sold me. Still need to paint the inside, but it works.
Here's a pic of the hot rod, probably different car than you remember. I sold the Model A when this '33 came along. My dad had a '34 he drag raced in the 50's, so it was an easy upgrade, just more money. That's why it's not done yet.
