66 f100
66 f100
this is my 66 that Ive been working on for about 6 years . I have installed a mustang II front end with air bags and c-notched the rear also with air bags . I was running a 4.9 EFI motor with auto overdrive from a 94 f150 but I just pulled it out and put in a 460 c6 from a 74 f350 . at the moment I am rewiring the truck using EZ Wire 21 circuit kit .
the faded red paint has a nice patina to it so I had some flames and scallops laid down on it . it may not be for everybody but I am enjoying the crap out of it .

Awesome Looking Truck. I Have Never Been A Big Fan Of Flames, But That Works. Reminds Me Of A Late 50's Style Paint Job. Fantastic Work...............

Re: 66 f100
got a little more done with the wiring

Re: 66 f100
here are some pictures of the frame modifications . I wanted the truck to sit lower and the mustang II front suspension was not going any lower so instead of a body drop I "Z"d the frame 2 inches and cut 2 inches off the lowest part of the frame .

Re: 66 f100
on this rebuild I decided that the motor and trans needed to sit higher in the frame so they don't hang below and drag or hit anything . raising everything also meant the cross members and cab brace would be in the way of the drive shaft when aired down . more cutting and welding .
