I wouldnt do a thing to that truck, looks awesome, great pics with the brick in the background. Although I liked the perfectly rusty caps, the shinny ones really stand out!

You might try some CLR on the grill & bumper for now - you can use it on the wheels to get what the steel wool didn't.
I would be tempted to do the inside of that bodyside moulding white with about a 1/8 red border around the white (use tape of course).
