i owned a windsor once. i never really got a good look at it though. too much stuff on top to really see anything.

Holy crap, Are you sure that is all the wider that the track is???????
I just finished building mine and the valve cover is 11 3/8" wide.
What do I do Now??????
I might be able to modify it and get it down to 10" but that will be the minimum.
What kind of weight should these be? I need to know if I should add weight to it to make it faster.

If you google it, there are actually printed rules.
The one I noticed most was a "10 pound" maximum.
Why build a racer that you can only race in one place. Build on you can take to other events and race legally.
I'm not arguing with you. I'm just explaining why I'm right. Pardon me. Does your deaug bite?
I guess mine won't be able to be raced any other place. It already weighs 15 pounds and that is only with the valve cover, wheels and mounting plates. I guess the valve cover is just too heavy being cast aluminum.
Now I am just worried about the width of the track. I can cut off a tab on one side and get it down to just over 10" wide.

I am not sure what the width of the other track is we used but I was trying to conserve a little and get 2 sections from 1 sheet of plywood and I still have $500 in it. I do remember one of the " Official Rules " is the 10lb limit but I am not sure on the rest of them. I was suprised..............KId
