new family member.... :)

Post by Anthony's Son »

So this past Saturday I picked up my FIRST driveable slick.. All the boys I have class with called me crazy, ignorant, and stupid for trading my s10 for it.. but they like the new luxuries..

Well it's a 1963 f100 short wheel base Flareside. 302 3 speed (1972 model) manual steering, manual brakes (For now that is) needs some things like a heater box, clutch, exhaust leak fixed, but nothing too much. 10 inch wide american racing Wheels with 60's on them... Little tough with the manual steering.. haha

Congrats on the new ride. It looks good.
You are still young, you can handle the armstrong steering. :)

Zak looks like a pretty decent slick and the bonus is other than your Pop's you wont be passing many on the road count how many S10's you pass at the same time :D.

Actually most of the s10s will be in the wrecking yard. Way better choice!
It's a race.. Will hell freeze over or will JC finish his truck first. Stay tuned..

That looks real good Zak!
Find a pair of those wheels in 7" and put some 225 x 60s on the front and she will drive just fine.

Well last night she got a new a new clutch, LOCKING gas cap seems how tank is in the bed, and 13 psi radiator cap instead of the 16 psi. Found out it is cheaper to replace the king pins than it is those tires... haha. oh and driving home last night with a new clutch, out a back road, the head lights decided to go out.. had to bypass the dimmer switch. Going strong and running better than the day I got it..

Zak Save up your money and have Pops bring you out to the Street Rod Nats here in Louisville next summer . I picked up a full set of Coy's C5's ( looks just like a Torque thrust ) Chromed rims 15 X 7 fronts 15 X 10's for out back for $630.00 out the door Tax included with a set of lug nuts and chrome valve stems all brand new from the Coy's Boy's . Theres some killer deals to be had at the show on rims .

The show is the beginning of August so you have plenty of time to stash away some cash :D.

Today I ordered flowtech long tube headers before I left work.. I am hoping that they clear my clutch rod coming off the frame... we will see tomorrow.
