My 66 4x4
Re: My 66 4x4
that thing is beautiful. Too bad I'm not in the market for a 4x4. I'd be on it in a minute if it were 2 wheel like that!. Awesome job.
Although I did see some disgusting water spots on the oil pan

All I can say about that truck is: Wow! No detail spared on that restoration. Must have been a labor of love to sweat the details like that.
Lee, may I ask why you are selling? The truck is beautiful.

Re: My 66 4x4
If you do the math, and compare it to a new truck as I did, with everything redone, refurbished, rebuilt, or brand new, its still a lot cheaper than a new truck. It can only go up in value rather than decrease, and its a whole lot better looking.

Re: My 66 4x4
Thank you all for the compliments on the truck. I have the reserve set somewhere north of where the auction ended (ended at $21,200). I am always amazed at how much activity there is after the auction (last 2 cas I have sold on this auction site were closed after the auction) but if no deal is struck, it will go back on the auction site for another round. If no deal after that, I will be taking the the truck to Barrett-Jackson in Reno or Vegas.
As for WHY I'm selling it: I retired early from the high tech industry and restore classic Mustangs and Shelby's to support my car hobby/habits. This truck needed restored and was just setting there taking up space in my yard. I was between projects and decided to just give it a little freshening up.... Over a year later, here it is!! Bottom line is, I need the money to buy/build my next project!
If it does sell, I'll post the final price here. I'd rather not disclose the reserve until after the auctions.
Thanks!

Re: My 66 4x4 - SOLD
Truck SOLD the second time around on E-Pay for $28,010. Reserve was set at $26k. Actual cost to do this level of restoration based on total of all receipts (w/o my time) was $28,238. Enjoyment of the time spent doing this restoration and seeing the end result, PRICELESS!!!!
