Rick (and all): Kenny reported yesterday via text: "she's getting better. They discovered that her right elbow had been dislocated in the crash. They have it in a splint now. Now it's just observe and heal time."

Kive is doing better. She is still in ICU. once you reach a certain point it becomes a slow process. Ill be glad when she is home and healthy. Happy is questionable. She has to put up with me and my cars. As she tells friends " He has 11 cars and 9 are broke"
Thanks yall are a great support group.

Hey 62galxe, I've never spoken with you nor have I shared any posts with you, this post has touched me from the beginning. Not knowing you or your wife has kept me from responding. However, if I don't respond it will just eat me up.
I wish for a speedy recovery for your wife. You've proven to be a strong supporter for your wife and I admire that. We're getting updates on your wife's condition via Gritsngumbo and I thank him for that.
Now how are you doing? You seem to be holding up well.
My thoughts and prayers have been there since day one and continue to be.
Don't forget to take a little time out for yourself, keeps the mind strong.
God Bless

LOL Kenny she will still be happy . I remind Janette all the time that she knew comming in that I was a Car/Truck nut and when that doesnt work . I ask her if she would prefer I go back to drinkin :D. She says at least with the toys she knows I am out here in the shop ( unless I'm at a buddies shop ) :D but I can still drive myself home at 3AM even if I am off at a buddies shop :D.

Tell Kive we all expect her to behave and get well and we wont accept any excuses :).

Glad to hear she's doing better, Kenny. We're praying for a speedy and thorough recovery.
BTW, Connie's statement is somewhat the same, but different: "He has seventeen cars and he's broke!"

Great news Gerald, God bless her. She is a fighter!
Still sending out prayers for them all from here and looking forward to
hearing when she can go home. Hope her sis is keeping an eye on our bud Kenny.

Gary: FYI: Cathi is Kenny's sister. And she's trying, but not sure how successful she's being. :-)

I'm still hanging in there. Not a lot of change. She is still in ICU. Still working on internal leaks. They have determined she is going to need surgery on her elbow. I guess this is like a marathon. Things go pretty quick at the start then slow down.

Here's an update from Kenny's sister Cathi via FB:

"It's been 3 weeks now and Kive is one tough cookie. She is still in the critical care unit, has a couple of additional surgeries to contend with this week, but we see little bitty improvements every day. This is going to be like running a long hilly marathon - she will definitely have her ups and downs. Keep her in your prayers and for my brother. All the hours in the day that he is not working or sleeping is spent by her side - He's tired, but relentless - he'll stay home when she is home.....What a guy..!"

BTW: Today's Kenny's Birthday.

Heres's a "good news" Monday morning update from Kenny's sister Cathi:

"Have great news on Kive (Kenneth Nelson's wife). Although she does have surgery scheduled today, they have moved her out of ICU !!! We expect she will be in the hospital for an additional 3 weeks. We never thought with her injuries she would make it to the floor so quickly. We are so blessed and she is one tough little lady....!!!! Yesterday was a good day..."
