Oil Pan Removal - 223 "6"

Can the oil pan on the 223 (in a 64 F100) be removed without raising the engine or affecting the rear seal? I want to clean out all the sludge that I'm sure has settled there after all these year.

never actually done it but ive pulled many an oil pan off a semi, and they are kinda built the same only bigger. yoiu can gain clearance by jacking the truck and letting the fron axle drop.

you have plenty of clearance with your 223 and straight axle. did it once on my truck. plenty of room. very easy. didnt have to jack up anything
