1962 Cab Mounts

Post by Farmageddon »

Hello All

My 62 uni SWB 2WD, is in need of rear cab frame mounts so I can get better stability and not have to worry about the torque box. I understand from reading here that front frame cab mounts from a 1964 will work mounting on the frame and mount to where the existing cab mount holes under the gas tank. My question is 1964's are pretty hard to find, is there any other later years that will work, say 1969 to 1979 etc.?

Thanks Paul :?

If you can find a set of rear cab mounts to a style side 61-64 they should bolt right up on a unibody.

I did this on my project. I'll try to get you some pictures. You need the rear cab mounts off the 61-64 frame, not the fronts.

All the holes exist except the ones thru the floor. That area is already reinforced from the factory. All you are going to need is the rubbers that go between the frame mount and floor pan.

Here's a few pics of my mount. This is off a '64 bolted to my '62 uni. There is a bolt in the floor pan that is dead center in the mount hole. Didn't drill any holes in the frame, everything was there and matched up fine. This is the right side, left side is identical.
