Hey, a while back I found a thread that listed everything I would need, and showed the steps and what not on installing a car fuel tank in his..66? Anyhow I couldn't bookmark it and haven't found it since. But what's the biggest fuel tank I can install where the spare tire wold be without it hanging down too low? I'm starting some body work on my 64 and the quarter panel is one of the roughest spots so I might as well get that out of the way.
As always thanks in advanced

Re: Car fuel tank, with fuel door in the dr quarter panel
I'm using an 84 Bronco 2 tank and I am thinking along the same lines. I've been hoping to find a junk bronco and cutting out the whole section and working it in. I have not found any with the fill in the back quarter panel. In fact around here I am lucky if I find any Bronco 2's in pieces at all. I believe my tank is 18 gallon but I may be mistaken. I thought about running it up in the floor, but don't really like the idea.

Awesome. Ya neither...seems redundant..either drop the tailgate or have the hose rub your paint... but someone on here made a thread and showed all the steps...wish I could find it or someone would share the thread to us.64 f100 wrote:I'm using an 84 Bronco 2 tank and I am thinking along the same lines. A couple ways I did it. Tom
1966 F250 Camper Special parts truck
1966 F 100 w/391 ft
1965 F 100 project
1958 Edsel Pacer Convertible
1953 ford Customline 2 door
1952 8N
1967 triumph Bonneville
I'm still not a good welder but I've become a good grinder
