Long winded rant about a crappy day part 2 ....

Just to make you all feel a little better....

The central air AC in the house wasn't doing very good
So I put some precious R22 Fremont into it ...
I say "precious" because it now cost about $30 pound
Started blowing nice ice cold air...
16 hours later .. temp kept creeping up
Dang coil had a pin hole in it
Called my lifelong friend who runs a heating & cooling business
"They don't even make "A" coils anymore he explains ....
But he thought he could find me something ...
But he is swamped right now ..... will be a few days
I can sweat a few days to save a $1000 though.....
Put a window unit in the bedroom ... at least can sleep cool ...
Then last night I get up about 3:30 to pee...
Dang toilet was running ...
I jiggle it to get it stopped ...
No help ... stupid valve inside shot craps & wont stop
I turn the shutoff valve underneath ... it slows it down
I stumble back to bed
Then today I realize it filled the septic system to overflow
Wonderful
So today I've pumped stinky water & replaced the innards of both toilets
It's hot outside

It's all good ..any problem that can be fixed ... ain't a bad problem

Yep. A coils are now N coils and run 410a only. $30.00/lb sounds cheap to me!

He had a N-coil that was "new" that has been on the shelf for a long time
Uses an exspansion valve, he says it will work
... that $30 pound is a jug I bought a while back ...... .

It's been hot here 95*+ during the day...
But cools down to the 70s* at night
The 2 little window units are getting a workout !

Pat at 2.00 this morning it still was 95 degrees out in Las Vegas,,, right now at 7.54 still 105 that's all I can do is Pat had to add this in NO SUN this heat is without the sun since most of the day here has been cloudy over cast looking

My sister lived out in phoneix AZ for 35 years...
First time I went out there it was in the summer
No big deal ... Kansas , I have seen plenty of 100*+ temps
But here is the difference
It would cool down at night into the 80*s here at home
I was out there.. opened the door at 6:00 am in the morn
Felt like the asphalt was gonna burst into flames

NOTICE .. the AC is back on line & septic and toilets are in top notch
... wife said we need to work on the Slick......
It's gonna be to the wire if the f350 rolls into KC
But we'll be there in one of these old rigs .....

Pat good to be home BUT Since yesterday outside Dallas, 3 major screw-ups one with a bad semi wreck,, hit a recap in the dark then the lights went out on the trailer, ran with strobe lights that flashes way back, till we where able to find a place till dawn, BUT only one wheel has brakes now as well,, Then cause these roads are so rough hit a pothole or something and broke the pipe off the turbo so had to listen to that and also killed the exhaust manifold so now back to Ford again

Pat told Kathy that on Tuesday we take a motel to get out of the truck so we stay at the same place in Glendale, AZ with safe truck parking with security so then 6.00 in the morning our guys come in before it gets too hot to finish out loading, So how did that go , Some idiot at 10.30 at nite either smokes or cooking hot dogs and kicks off the fire alarms so we all run out, fire trucks came and about a hour later get cleared so much for a peace full nites sleep,, just another adventure
