Slow

Post by Jerry D »

Wow, I knew traffic was slow on the site, but I've never seen it this bad. I think this is the first time I've ever logged-in, and seen no new posts in the 24 hours I was away!

Gotta be something new or on somebody's mind.

Pat I still will not do Facebook, I do look every day to see what's new whether we are busy or not, Pat on the 63 I bought a new carb for the 223 I found on e-bay, I have pair a good used scuff plates, rear bumper for it, have a top for the battery to hold it in place off a 58 T-Bird, cleaned the rust stain in the bed and painted it to blend it

Okay, could someone explain to me why the facebook site is supposedly so great. I've heard it's easier to post pictures but as far as posting goes you post questions and answers are posted. What makes one better than the other when they both accomplish the same thing? Do people just need to see how many people "LIKE" what they post? I know I"m pretty computer illiterate so educate me.

I think picture posting is a part of it
But there are many different "groups" on one site
Some I'm on ...
Slick groups
Bump groups
M37 army trucks
M715 army trucks
Garden groups
School reunion groups ....

I get to visit with high school friends I haven't seen in 40 years
Even with all the BS (and there plenty) Facebook is still fun
But I'll never leave this group 8)

The biggest problem here is the photo bucket fiasco. There are a lot of great posts that mean a lot less without pictures, and have yet to find a place that I want to trust again
I go on both but have to hold my tongue on fb at all that hateful bs posted by people who vent frustrations, or post bs to try and foment discord.
Pat you are right about the misinformation, I also keep in touch with old friends far away, what's going on in the industry I retired from, and Family back in the old country.
