Oil pressure sensor ohms?
Is there a scale somewhere to show what range the oil pressure sender is supposed to put out? I’d like to check it to make sure it’s actually working and get an idea what idle pressure is running.

Re: Oil pressure sensor ohms?
not sure about the ohms I bought an oil driven gauge to check my engines, your gauge is also adjustable if its off but it is no fun trying to calibrate it

The oil pressure sender is just a light switch that grounds at low pressure.
The only test in the factory shop manual for a oil light type sender is whether or not the light goes out when the engine is started.
You probably want something like this---> https://www.summitracing.com/parts/smp-ct25/overview/

Re: Oil pressure sensor ohms?
I would throw a master gauge on it and verify the pressure is good if it's a concern or install a proper pressure gauge instead of relying on a dummy light. If the light comes on, it's usually too late anyhow. To answer your question though, I think the range is about 10-75 ohms, can't remember if it's10 with engine running or 75 though, it's been awhile. Maybe someone else will know.

Re: Oil pressure sensor ohms?
Since the OP wanted a range I thought he had a gauge, not an idiot lite. I have both in my truck since I really don't trust either
