F700

Post by slick4x4 »

Got a F700
Not sure exactly the difference between this and a F600
Has the Dayton type wheels.....
Not sure if the frame & axles are heavier

F600 trucks are WAY more common (around here anyway)
Plans are to put a 1500 gallon tank on it to haul water or liquid fertilizer

Pat basically same as a F-600 little heavier parts on some of them , GVWR'S are rated different and as long as it does not say Super Duty cause that's when things change on the cab F-700/750 is same cab as the smaller trucks where the Super Duties have the bigger front ends, taller roofs, floorboards, Now the Super Duty Hoods will work if you take the filler panel off, glass/rubber/everything that is associated with the cab is the same between those trucks but floor pans and cab mounts have seen different

One thing is great is that the frame widths are the same on a lot of the bigger trucks whether it's a Ford/Chevy/International Etc. so that opens the door on a lot of options especially when it comes to Rear Ends, that's why on my F-600 I have Disc Brake Rear End off a 95 ford Shuttle Bus as well as a Front Disc. + 3.73 Gears in the rear end for that Hwy Speeds

That's beautiful. I almost pulled the trigger on a '68 F-350 flatbed the other day but decided my wife would divorce me if I brought another truck home. "But, baby this one is different. It runs!"

My wife was on vacation seeing her faminly when this showed up

We were out there a few days later
And she asks "where'd that truck come from ?"

I told her I wasn't exactly sure ... somewhere out west I think
She just rolls her eyes

I believe it's a 332
They were a Lincoln Y block used in bigger trucks
Not the same block as the 292 used in pickups & f600s
