I found this spring on the road underneath my truck. Nothing seems to run any different than before. Any ideas on where it came from?
It's possible it came off my son's '70 bumpside and I just found it later underneath mine. Not sure.
what is this spring?

Seems like my truck had one that looked like that attached to the z bar to keep the clutch pedal/linkage at the fully engaged position. One end on the z bar, the other on the frame toward front of truck.

Re: what is this spring?
That all makes sense. My clutch pedal doesn't fully return to the up position anymore. It stops about 1/2" shy and I have to raise it with my toe. But, it's been doing that for a long time. I guess the spring broke and maybe was just hanging there for a long time and finally fell off. Although, I don't remember seeing it hanging all the times I've been under it. Interesting.

Re: what is this spring?
I'm guessing the spring attaches here:
I've read that the other end of the spring is supposed to attach to the frame, but I can't get in my head how that would work. Does anyone have a picture of theirs I could see?
