Am thinking we should all start filling every extra container we have before November. Gas prices are bound to come back up to $3/gallon after election day because they know we will pay that much. They are just trying to make you feel good until we re-elect them.

has not dropped much here at all. big blocks + premium fuel= $3.04.
of course as an Alaskan i get the yearly check from the permanent fund investments, this year up to $1106. used to be thought of as free money, now its a rebate on the high fuel prices here.
unfortunately we will not get the gift of 100 free gallons of heating fuel from Citgo and Hugo as we are not in one of the villages.

anyone care to comment on the quality of gas these days? in my opinion it loses its "fizz" far sooner than it used to. couple year old gas used to burn fine.now it seems like after 6 months its getting flat. one of my donor slicks has very old gas, will not run on it but fires right up with fresh gas.

$2.12 in Corsicana today.

Yes, gas ain't what it used to be. Makes a fine weed killer after a couple of months, even kills mesquite, which is hard to kill.

gas prices

Post by Truckrat »

Well, I don't mean to make anyone jealous but............
Gas here just dropped below $2 a gallon this week.
$1.96 as of this week. Most all the stations are below $2.10
but here and there have dropped below $2.
I guess the principle players in the oil biz have made enough
profits to send their great, great, great grandchildren thru college
by now with all those record profits they all put in their bank accounts.

$2.14 here as of 6:00pm

Just as a note: It is the investors that cause gas to go up more than the oil companies.

What's sad is that some places outside of Texas are actually cheaper than we are. And we sit on top of the largest refineries in the US!

Anybody see a problem with this besides me?

Nice. Ontario paying 73 cents a litre, we pay 92.9, 10 miles from where they drag it out of the ground.

Welcome to Canada. Have a nice day.

Ever wonder why we hate Ottawa out here?

Well no one wanted to pick up on truckfarmer's comment about what prices will do AFTER the elections.

Big Oil realy wants to make sure that one party stays in place in D.C.

Don't fool yourself......
