I'm new, a quick introduction.
Hello, My name is Bob. I just picked up a 65 f250 . The 2nd previous owner did quite a bit of work to it. I'm in Pa and finding clean samples of older trucks can be difficult. Although it seems they pop up all over the place once you buy something.
It has a custom gas tan in the storage box (60 gal). A rebuilt 390 and 6C. And a dana 70 or 60 I can't tell with 4.11's and a posi.
He said he built it for towing. One of the big draws was the box full of reciepts. Engine, Tranny and all the bits and bobbles..
A few of the things I'd like to do, in order:
Front discs, and power steering. asap
Replace the moldings and badges.
Two tone original looking paint job.
I have a toploader 4spd od hear I like to swap back in.

INEPTOCRACY: (in-ep'-toc-ra-cy) : a system of government where the least capable to lead are elected by the least capable of producing, and where the members of society least likely to sustain themselves or succeed are rewarded with goods and services paid for by the confiscated wealth of a diminishing number of producers.
Welcome Bob, I didn't see you mention it but a dual master cylinder is a must and not hard to do.

Thank you all for the great welcome.
I'm in Wilkes-Barre area 18702.
Yes dual master is a must. As a mater of fact I'm have the truck torn apart now for that up grade.
I'm just waiting for parts. I needed a new rag joint and I found someone parting a 3/4 72. I'm getting the column and box but I still need the pump and bracket.. I will have the parts for the power disc up grade also. But I think I'm only doing the steering and power drums this year. I'm on a tight time line and I'm quickly running out of time. I don't have a working garage.
I posted in the want section for the pump/bracket. Is there a power master cylinder that I can use pre and post disc upgrade? I thought some years they were all drum/drum with a removable check valve????
thanks

I don't know what valve covers they are. I'm sure there's a reciept in the box. I know they were powercoated, I found that bill. I found the originals in the tool box.
The body mounts are like new. I think the ragjoint is worn from strong-arming 10" wide tires.
thanks
bob
Does anybody have a pic of a power treeing pump on an FE. There apperas to be two or three different brackets??
