yeah I dunno about all the stuff they claim. It's still damn cold in places. It seems like if global warming was for real, every day would be a new record high. we still got record highs from the 1920s...
There have always been cycles between iceages and warm periods.
And they say that one large volcanic eruption dumps out more "greenhouse gasses" (the crap they say we are killing the planet with) in one go than human kind has produced in our entire existence....

Back in the 70s the same wackos who are now screaming "we're all gonna die" over supposed global warming were screaming "we're all gonna die, we're gonna have another ice age" Make up your mind!
The planet has had weather cycles for how many billions of years now? We have recorded the weather for about 100 years, there's a big picture view for ya. Kinda like turning the key one notch and saying "It'll run for about 500,00 miles".

that is actual temp. there is no wind, just clear sky and very frigid air.My65 wrote:Damn... -56 C!!!!And I'm guessing that is without the wind chill. At what temp does the wind not blow?
i wish the wind would start, it would circulate the air and help warm things up some.

The issue of whether or not humans are affecting climate patterns is certainly debateable.blackagatha wrote:yeah I dunno about all the stuff they claim. It's still damn cold in places. But, the average global temperature can still increase while certain regions remain cold. That is, if one day in ten is colder than average, and the other nine are warmer than average, then the overall average will increase.
So conversely, an increase in average global temperature does not mean there won't be extremely cold days.
Man that must be cold enough to piss ice cubes or get freezer burn trying anyway.
I remember my sister talking about that kind of cold when they lived up there. Sounds deadly to me.
Y'all could come on down to the sunny south and warm up some of course y'all might have to hide in a hole in the ground from time to time

I definitely don't want to be anywhere near temps that cold.

56 is perfect, 75 is too hot.blackagatha wrote:Prescott was about 56, but the big ol sun made it feel like about 75... it was NICE. I think I'm payin a visit to either Tucson or Los Angeles next weekend, so that should be some enjoyable temps....
even though it has been real cold at night, in the mid afternoon the sun makes it warm up to 10 or 15 and feels warmer than that so its not unbearable outside.
