Step side box steps

Post by ProStreet66 »

Does anybody know who sells the steps for a step side box? I have a couple from a different year but are to long. I can cut them down if I have to but if I can get a new set for good price I might do that.

I have a set of long bed ones . Mint condition, even still have the ford number on the inside. Make offer.

when you say longbed, is it pre 64 or 64 up? wheelbase changed so the step lengths changed, there are 3 sizes that i am aware of, shortbed fits up to 72 or 73, and 2 longbed styles.the ones i have are the short ones.

I have two different ones. First of all the box is a 8 footer that someone cut down to a 6 1/2. Then I found that the 8 footer is 2 inches higher and 5 inches wider than a 6 1/2. The width dont matter because I tubbed the truck but I had to flating out the top of the box so it looked right. Now the fenders are off a 55 and I only got 1 step which is a couple inches to long. The other step I have I have no idea what its off but thats to long by alot.

No worries and no hurries. I was just wondering mostly if I screwed up and didn't "send" the PM, lol.

What's sad, is these steps and fenders were taken of and there were tons of these around. These were taken of to put boxes on the sides of trucks for service trucks. Used to find the fenders and steps everywhere, and couldn't give the things away. Go figure. Now, I look for these myself.

Most Ironic was when Sinc needed an indented drivers side fender for his spare tire. Those things were torn off in the thousands, and you couldn't give them away either.
Now Bill can't find one. :(
It's a race.. Will hell freeze over or will JC finish his truck first. Stay tuned..

I didn't realize Sinc was still needing that fender. I have one and the spare tire bracket. Wouldn't want to ship a rear fender. It would cost more than the fender.
If you drove a Ford, you wouldn't need a good wrench!
