Maybe I should ask you guys. I've been intending on making the truck look like my avitar but lately everyone seems to think it would look great out on the salt in "Patina" What do you'all think? New paint or patina?

I'd keep the patina - but do the lettering faux-style so it looks like it's been there for 30yrs...

I'm with the rest of the crew, It's hard to beat a mother nature paint job.... :D Most pin stiping guys can paint the lettering to make it look like its as old as dirt.

They liked my cage this last weekend but I was told to add a little to it, that is why I went down to have it looked at. Here's what had to be added, diagonal from the main hoop to lowere right hand corner, continue the diagonal behind the seat and hoop to keep my foot in if the body was completely ripped off.

Cage is done now!

Keep the big hole below the seat there too. Just in case of a wreck your total bowel release has somewhere to go
Cage looks great, it is really looking ready for your runs

Either will look good, although the patina would make it stand out a little more. Don't think I have ever seen an competing LSR vehicle like that. Will save the Money and time doing the body work & paint.

When you'll do the bed cover, post some pictures of how you do it! I want to build one for my truck!

"Clear!" Like you've just climbed in a bomb-laden Corsair. Good stuff, sounds great!

Did the paint on the cage this morning while it was still cool. Tonight Jake leaves for the body shop where he will get it's full coat. ;)
